Back from the RL Reconnaissance
Well gang, I am back from my 2 weeks in South America & the Caribbean and back on the landline. I tried to keep up by satellite! Forgive me for not taking pics (the camera and cell phone never left the ship).
Guess what I saw?
Beunos Aires: 2 LEGENDS (2nd Gen) & 3 LEGENDS (1st Gen)
Venezuela: 1 LEGEND (2nd Gen) & 2 LEGENDS (1st Gen)
Aruba: 1 LEGEND (2nd Gen)
ST Thomas: 1 RL (2nd Gen)
Puerto Rico: 4 RLs (2nd Gen) and 5 LEGENDs (1st Gen)
Also saw Honda LEGEND commericals in Argentina more than I see RL commercials here.
Not exactly scientific, but considering I have seen 3 RLs in Tampa in the last 8 months (except at dealerships) it puzzles me ever more.
By the way, one RL is saw in San Juan was an odd color I initially thought was Desert Mist, but in sunlight it was more a copper / bronze color. Likely it was repainted, but I wonder if other color options are offered on LEGENDs?
I chuckled to see most Lexus models with Toyota badges. The ES is known as the Toyota Windom and pretty popular. No sign of Infinities, and the usual BMW and Mercedes. The TSX / Accord model was very visable, especially in Puerto Rico and Argentina. The MDX is also very popular in Argentina.
