Another Rattle Question

So I have gone through the forum and found several suggestions but have not isolated this rattle. It's only on rough roads (not potholes but rough surface) and sounds like plastic on plastic rattling and sounds like it may be coming from around the navigation screen or just south of it

I removed the black housing around the shifter just to elimate that and there was no change. I stuffed some strips of cloth between the windshield and dash with no change. When I open the glove box it appears to be slightly loader but may be my imagination.

Nothing I push on during this rattle seems to have any impact so I'm wondering if it's behind the dash. Has anyone had this rattle and how did you fix it?

Did you recently change your cabin air filter? I noticed the filter in the wrong way which caused rattle..

I had and still have issues with the two silver trim pieces on either side of the center console. I also had an issue with my glove box squeaking. The moonroof squeaks, sometimes the rear view mirror squeaks, and the rear sun shade used to rattle until the dealer fixed it.

Good luck.

The cabin filter was next on my list as well as the silver pieces on either side of the console. It does not appear to difficult to remove:

I did notice howerver that pushing on the silver trim pieces during the noise seems to have no impact but will try it anyway. Thanks to all that have replied so far.

Nope, I bet it's the housing for the digital clock/center speaker/etc. My rattle is exactly like described (thought NAV area, glovebox maybe, etc.). When the rattle starts, push on the area/part I mentioned. There was also a TSB about it.

I thought the same and did push down on the speaker (once) but it did not did not sem to make a difference at the time. I will focus on this area next time I hear it.

What was the fix?

Thanks.

Checked the cabin filter and pushed on the center speaker when the rattle happens with no help. I'm going to tear the center console apart this weekend and see if I can find this rattle.
