Am I crazy? Trading RL for an RDX.

As for the Ferrari comment, there are many haters out there -- what can I say? This isn't my first nor my last sportscar -- I may even get an fcar one day. Right now I am enjoying the Z quite a bit, as it is faster then 90% of production cars out there let alone then most cars on the road. And yes, it does have a much more exotic look then any other Corvette produced. I'd rather be dead then have a 308, Mondial, 348, 355 both for the dated looks and sparce interior and amenities. The only Fcar that compete on the Zs level is a 430, 360, 550, 575, etc. All of which are at least 2-3 times the $70K pricetag I paid for my Corvette (not to mention it's pretty much faster then all of those).

I just ripped a bunch of MP3s onto a CD. If I hadn't heard DVD-A/DTS before, I would have been satisfied with the sound, but after hearing music in 5.1, there's just no comparison.

As for the Ferrari comment. No disrespect to the Z, but there is just something about a Ferrari. I agree that the older models were pretty sparse, but in their day, they were leading edge. Comparing a current Z to the a 308, 328, 348, 355, and 360 is just not a fair one. Different cars in different times.
As outdated as the old 308s, and 348s were, they still catch my eye when I see one going down the road. Corvettes just seem to blend in.
Again, not knocking the Z, as it is an impressive car.

JMHO.

Are there any car companies who have that level of iPod integration in their OEM systems? From what I understand, the BMW approach isn't much better than the Acura approach. It would be wonderful to use voice commands and steering wheel controls to play songs on an iPod. Right now, however, putting MP3s on CDs offers that advantage over an iPod or other MP3 player, plus you don't need to plug it in every time you drive. You can just leave the MP3 CDs in the changer.

I have an 07 MDX Sport/Entertaiment (only 3% of production made) and it equal if not better than the RL in my opinion. I also have an 04 RL and a 07 RDX Tech.....NO comparo between the RDX and RL, two different animals....
RDX
Pros:
High Performance DOHC Engine
Smooth transmission
Fast for a 4000 plus lb vehicle
Stereo system with Tech package
Well balanced
BLAST to drive
Cons:
Stiff ride
Noisy
Poor gas mileage
Price when compared to RL and base 07 MDX
2007 MDX:
RL on steroids, esp. in sport mode.....

Who was comparing RL to RL ? I agree but LOVE my 04 RL. Reasons:
Paid in full.
Bargain price new with only 2 miles on it: $36,000.00 (dealership made NO money)
NEVER have returned to dealership for ANY issues!
ROCK SOLID (no rattles)
100% Japanese made based on Legend technology.
current mileage: 18,500 going on 3 years old.
Classic look
Rated as one of the most reliable vehicles by many magazines and Consumer Report.....
I do drive my 07 MDX more however....
No pun intended either....

Not knocking the previous gen RL, but the current model is a huge advancement in technology and performance.
The RDX and current gen RL are different animals, but MY opinion is the opposite of yours. While the RDX is a pretty slick SUV, it doesn't really compare to the CURRENT RL.
