anyone have there afs light stay on? how did the dealer fix it. mine came on around 6 times over the years but i would switch off car back on then light would go out this time came on to stay. i also had vmajor problems with headlights cut off and on one at a time. that what dealer was attemting to repair for 3 time when this light was on. anyone had problem with 2005 rl afs light. my dealer is the best ACURA OF AVON!!

The only warranty repair I've had done on my '05 RL was a result of the AFS light coming on at various times. Like yours, mine would reset if I turned the car off and restarted it but unlike yours I had no headlight problems. The fix for me turned out to be replacement of a positional sensor and it took under an hour.

Hope they find yours quickly.

i was called by dealer told still after 2 days no find for afs light. i asked for awd car due to bad weather is coming and my Rl had snow tires but the tl loaner did not. they gave me a 2007 rdx loaded. i Really miss my RL nothing in acura line comes close. they contine to take apart my rl. i hope the can find the problem. i do not want to go through a fight for replacing car. that would suck.. anybody have a fix for AFS.

I've had my 05RL since 12/05 and it's had the AFS light come on at least every other month. Every time I take it in to service, they, of course, find nothing wrong until a couple months ago (03/07). The dealer apparetly replaced the headlight module and haven't had it on back.

But also, the headlights would flicker, esp over bumpy roads. I've had this problem since owning the car and that hasn't seemed to have changed since replacing the headlight module.
