AcuraLink Demo Messages
When I 1st registered with AcuraLink through CS, I was sent demo messages to the RL (envelope icon on the NAVI screen) every day for about one month. These messages were typically 'tips' on the RLs features and accessories. The purpose was to demo the AcuraLink communication features of the RL.
I have been trying to get CS to reinitialize this feature so I may demo to an associate who is interested in the RL and very curious about this feature. I have been able to demo the Calendar reminders. But unless there is a trouble code or issue, the AcuraLink messaging feature remains pretty silent. Further, my delaer has an interim disconnect with Acura's OwnerLink website, so I cannot even get a service reminder sent to the car.
Has anyone had success in re-initializing this demo feature? CS seems a bit clueless in getting this done. How difficult can it be???
If I do not have success demo'ing this feature to my associate, I may be eating crow and buying him lunch! ("Yeah, SURE your car does THAT!")

I believe when they're gone, they're gone. You can try diconnecting the battery for a while (and possibly losing all your memory settings) so the system doesn't "remember" getting the messages.
Or, you can put something relativley light on the passenger seat and let him see (and hear) the "Passenger Airbag Off" message.

Thanks LL.
But I was not referring to storing / retaining the messages or subsequently clearing them. It is the actual re-transmission of the messages from AcuraLink to the RL. This must be initiated by AcuraLink. I am trying to have Acura send messages to my RL.
