hahaha... Gmann will tell you to got for it (because he is probably the seller ), but 007 will absolutely track you down, and kick you in the ass. hahahaha

I'm a terrible judge here because I've spent a lot of money on the dumbest stuff.
IMO value is all in the eyes of the person buying it...

Considering how expensive some things are on this car, $150 is nothing. I paid $120 and really enjoy the feeling in my hand of the wood knob. Driving is just that much more fun.

I dont get it...its not like the RL is a 6sp manual. Its an automatic with tip tropnic shifting. Do you all really drive with the wood in your hands?!?

$75 new discontinued or not, thats my call

I guess for the people that has a OEM wood grain sport wheel but don't have the wood knob or they want that extra touch to the interior will spend big bucks for it.

I mean if you think this is bad, I've seen people on here that will spend $100-150 for an A-SPEC emblem. Now that's crazy.

That's what I was thinking. I use the shift knob to put the car into drive, reverse and park. I could care less what it "feels" like because my hands are always at 3 and 9. Just waiting for somebody to come on here looking for a weighted shift knob or something.

On a side note, I paid $0 for my wood shift knob. It came with my car. If I was looking to get one though, I would definitely follow in oo7's footsteps and mod the nearly identical TL knob to fit for less money.

He meant MDX knob. I was spreading false information because I was told I bought a TL knob.

Truth! and to op regardless of what everyone is saying, sure you'll be happy with the purchase. With a flagship car better to buy quality parts than buying cheaper parts only saving few bucks.

Although we can use other model wood grain shift knobs, it just doesn't look right

Lol. Right. Try telling that to the goobers around here with Lionhart and Achilles tires on their flagship cars. At least a TL/MDX knob would still be made by Acura.

Don't get it twisted. Those emblems add about 2.735 horse power...raw...

I start out in D3 quite a bit for city driving and end shifting between D4 and D3 a lot. Also I occasionally drive in manual so yes, (get ready boys) my hand is often on my knob.

Some of the comments I have heard from RL wood knob owners make me wonder why they didn't buy a badge car. If they are so prideful to have a flagship maple knob over a "lesser/cheaper" burlwood knob, why didn't they buy a badge to be proud of too? The reasons are beyond snobby.

A wooden knob is worth nothing to me......
I prefer to have leather knob.

The RL has a leather knob as well, quite handy that.

My main car has a titanium knob.

I like my leather knob (your joke here). Not cold to the touch in cold weather, and it's a good grade of hide that feels good to my fingers. Never really felt tempted to pay for the switchover.

Got the my OEM WOOD...

I got my OEM wood shift knob today. I am very impressed with the subtle touch it gives the interior. The knob was like brand new. Very happy with the purchase. :-)

Glad you like it. Enjoyment's supposed to be the whole point. And good on them for representing the item accurately!

Try not to touch the emblem too much. From what I hear it will wear off. I keep my hands off mine and it still looks new after 4 years.

Congrats on the find. I am starting to realize that it is not such an easy task to locate an RL wood knob. Been looking for a week now with no luck.
