Unhappy Acura RL 2006, Front Bumper Chrome chipping off... Help please...

Hey guys, I need help on getting a reference number to the parts that needs replacing. Most of the paint or chrome has chipped away and it breaks my heart every time I see it. Is there a way where I can buy the parts myself and replace it myself? Or do I buy the parts and let a dealership or body shop install it for me? I'm lost in the sauce. Please help. The pictures are shown below.

When I was a moderator on PreludePower.com I just locked threads like these. It's one thing when it is an obscure subject that only comes up every so often...but bumper chrome chipping has got to be like one of the top 10-20 subjects on the RL forums.

Gotta love how they photochop an A&M logo onto the hat of the dumbass in Heavy's avatar.

FYI - the Search function on this forum is the worst search engine anyone will ever use. As long as it's this bad then you cannot blame users for posting the same question over again. If Google or Yahoo were this useless then they would have been bankrupt years ago.
Type bumper+chrome into the search window at the top of the page and see what BS is returned. Your only hope is an advanced search and even then it is terrible.
Thanks to a few members here it compensates for a deficiency in the forums functionality. I can understand responding with "RTFB" but for a lot of questions for noob members your patience is appreciated.

Search function, although not the most user friendly, certainly gets the job done.

BUT, none the less, if you are alive and not using Google or Bing to search first then you probably need to step away from the computer.

How about the "search this forum" feature?

So we are in agreement: the search box on the Acurazine forum would work better if it was just a link to Google?

work better... as in we need a sign to tell people not to dive when there is a sign above it that says 4ft depth.

Yes. haha.

All seriousness, I think the big search box should be a google box with hard code "acurazine" key words in it.

There are multiple search features in AcuraZine. I can think of 4. 1) The big search bar at the top of each page, 2) the "search this forum" above the sub-forums, 3) the "search this forum" below the sub-forums, and 4) the advanced search.

Number one can be very useful if you want to search the whole site. Say you want to find the latest conversation on the Fisker Karma. Is it in Car Talk or Automotive News? That's when #1 is the best tool for the job.

If you are searching for an RL specific question and your search keywords are "bumper molding", number one is the worst option. It would be like using a hammer to drive a screw. Can it be done? Sure, but it's the wrong tool for the job.
