acura rl 1st car with AI
Am currently reading ray kurzweils new book " the singularity is near- when humans transcend biology"
In the section on Artificial Intellegence and how it is currently evolving, he mentions the RL as a car ( 1st on market) that has weak AI.

I'm not sure about cars with AI. Something about the 1983 movie CHRISTINE that makes my uncomfortable.

well there is strong AI and weak AI ( or should i say application specific AI).
according to Kurzweil
the nav traffic and the voice commands as well as systems like the CMBS etc are all exaples of weak AI.
