Acura Care Warranty..120k or 84k ???

What would be a good starting point to negotiate price for the 120k bumper to bumper warranty

Acura of Westchester quoted me a price of 2200.00 for 120k warranty and a price of 1700.00 for 84k warranty.

My car has 29,400 once it reaches 30k then i won't qualify for the 120k warranty so i have to make a decision rather quick.

there are many dealers selling this warranty, there is no reason to buy it locally (unless you like paying the tax). I bought my warranty from Acura of Peoria. They gave me 18 months 0% financing too. The total was $1750 about a year ago for 120k mi.

you don't have to drive there to get it, you can pay with a credit card. The warranty is valid at any Acura dealer, tested mine in NYC just fine with 2 mirror adjustments. They warranty was in their computer system, didn't have to show anything.

I had a 2007 RL with 164,000 miles that I sold back in January of 2012. I was the original owner and did not have one thing except normal wear items go wrong. I purchased a 2010 RL to replace the 2007. I thought long and hard about the extended warranty. My gut feeling was to purchase it. My main thought was if I keep this until 164,000 miles what would be the odds that I would have nothing go wrong for 328,000 miles. It is a great piece of mind knowing my car will be covered. I purchased mine from Bernardi Acura of Boston over the phone. I live in North Carolina. They could not have been nicer. I paid $1,500 for the 120,000 mile warranty. Plus I received a $50 gift card to purchase parts from them.

I tried to get them lower than $1,500 and she would not come down from that price. She said that was their cost price.
