AC High and low-pressures are equalized

I have an odd issue where my compressor clutch is engaging however the system is not moving freon I took it to a local mechanic and he said that I needed to replace the compressor. However, I am wondering if this could be an issue possibly with the Stator or the white wire that leads back to the AC control module. I do have a secondary AC control module that I tried hooking up which did not solve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have already spent $380 on diagnostic up until now. I probably could have gone to the dealership for less money at this point!
