60K service
'06 RL in for it's 60000 mile service today. I am still on the original brake pads so I expect to here from my service rep about the need to replace. Car, for the most part, has been trouble-free since Sept. '06. Also, I must note, that I had my tires rpelaced @ 52000 with the same Michelin tire as the OEM and these tires seem to be night & day different from the OEM offerings. Not as noisey on the highway, pretty darn quiet; wet trraction is excellent, no tire slippage.

What is the 60K service? I assume this was dictated by the MID?
My RL has 27K, and above the MID service, I plan to have the tranny fluid changed and brake fluid changed.
The Michelins seem to wear long, but they do grow louder as they wear. Any new tire should behave quieter than a worn tire, even if the same brand and model.

No MID notice; just took it in for the standard 60K service. Fluids and filters changed & inspection of components. $249. My original pads still have 8mm left on them so no new brakes yet.
I had noticed when I first purchased the RL the OEM tires $ucked in wet weather traction - not these this time. Good grip.

rotors?
I also hit 60K this past weekend. I know I need new brake pads. Aside from the brake pads, do they need to swap the rotors or resurface it?
There is NO vibration whatsoever.....do I just put the new pads in?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
