2005 RL sighted in Flagstaff

On last night's local TV news, one segment was devoted to telling about the snow fall in Flagstaff. The remote camera was focused on a 2005 Acura RL parked on the street with snow flakes falling on it from the heavens above. It was just beautiful.

That shot was the best TV commercial I ever saw for Acura.

niiiiiiiiiice.

I find it funny it snowed there in arizona yet here I am in the igloo capital of the world and we have had a total of MAYBE 3" of snow since november. The weather here has been crazy. It was 12 degree celsius a week ago and only yesterday has it been what I'd consider a winter cold temperature in the last month.

Funny how? Flagstaff is one of the snowier cities around - annual average snowfall there is about 3 times what it is here in Chicago.

Not this year for Flagstaff. The Southwest has been in a long drought so not much precip of any kind. The ski area is fighting with the tribal interests trying to get permits to make snow as there has been no skiing at all due to lack of snow. Its at about 7000 feet so it can get pretty cold at night in particular. Great place to go on an RL road trip though. Don't need to worry if some precip comes in and it is snow.

Shepsan, great drive for you from the NW valley up to Flagstaff and back the same day, with a side trip through Sedona and Oak Canyon, in your RL and listen to XM the whole way.

hendjaz, right-on! The drive to Flag is sceneic and enjoyable. I have done it a number of times with my XM filling the RL with fine music and timely news reports.

Our neck of the state has also suffered a drought. At present, we are at 104 days without rain. Climate like this does allow one to indulge in evey possible kind of outdoor activity.

Enjoy your RL.
