2005 JDM honda legend battery drain fuse #7
Hey guys I imported a 2005 jdm honda legend few years ago it has about 120kms now. It seems to have a very intermittent power drain. I brought it to my mechanic and he looked at it but failed to find the exact source. He got it down to fuse #7 on the drivers side which would be the right side in this case. As he messed around with everything the drain went away and it was good for almost 6 months. But all of sudden it’s doing it again. I read how it’s the HFL in a lot of cases but I can’t seem to locate it. I opened up the kick plate on both sides and looked around extensively and can’t seem to locate any module. I’m thinking of opening both doors and disconnecting the door sensors and see if that fixes it. Does anybody know where the location of the HFL would be in the JDM honda legends or if it has one at all. Also any other ideas of what I could try to fix this. Thanks.

My Legend doesn't have the hands free kit - instead it has an old-school iPod connection in the front armrest.
The usual suspects for the drain are the HFL and the door handles. But my Legend doesn't have the fancy door handles either...
The usual way to find the problem is to measure the drain on the battery with a multimeter, and then start pulling fuses. As soon as a particular fuse makes the drain drop to almost zero, you've found the offending circuit - this is what your mechanic would have done to get down to Fuse #7. What is this fuse for ?

The HFT is a black box on the LHS of the steering column on RHD Leg Ends.
Yes, it took me a while, to find it, too!
Mine now has an American accent and doesn't understand me if I don't, too.
How fast is the drain? I think it's alarm-related (if slow) and use a trickle charger. The 86 is similar in that regard.
