I'm going to be building a 2.25" mid pipe soon and see how this sounds with the factory exhaust and pcd and j pipe.

The factory mid pipe is restrictive !

I thought the stock piping IS 2.25"? Did you see my set-up a few posts up? I opted to go 2.5" front to back.

No stock mid pipe is 1.765" . Muffler inlet 1.89".

Yeah I saw your setup and heard the videos ��. I have a bunch of 2.25 laying around stainless .

Just finished my 05 RL the other day. Countless hours putting the HFPC and custom XLR8 exhaust on. Take off wouldve been faster if I didn't have an extra 600lb of personnel in the car lol. but here is a sound clip. Sitting on some Vossen CV1 20x9 all around

Every aftermarket exhaust posted here I like for different reasons. I really appreciate those that took the time to post this, because it saves me the exhausting time researching for aftermarket RL stuff that doesn't exist. . . no pun intended btw. I have a very cheap shop nearby that does a lot of custom work, just hope they can understand me, pictures may be needed :P

Finally got the 5Zigen & the Mugen swapped out with MSW 6SP (Matt). Took a while and freight wasn't exactly cheap but it was a trade that was mutually beneficial for both parties:









Love, love love the 5Zigen. Fits the OEM rear lip nicely and has a nice throaty growl. Best mod ever for this car. Thanks to jose3031 for selling it to Matt so I could eventually get my hands on it!

I don't think I'd go THAT far but it is worth having. I waited over a year to find mine. Keep an eye on here, eBay & Yahoo! Japan and maybe one will turn up. Expect to pay a pretty penny for it though. Good luck---

Just got my magnaflow exhaust done removed 2 stock resonators and did 2.25 pipe all the way back love the sound and feels much better next is the j pipe
