09 RL Front Engine Mount Replacement Experience
Just wondering if any of you guys have experience in changing the front engine mount and don't mind sharing tips. I saw a TSB and it says to remove the radiator fans. Any of you guys able to do it without doing that part? (05-08 owners input are also welcomed)
Thanks!
Thanks!

I changed mine a few months ago, I have an ‘11 but the engine compartment is the same as the ‘09-‘10 to my knowledge.
I couldn’t find any other way to get to it, I had to remove the fans. Maybe someone has found a way, but there’s virtually no space to work with while they’re in there.

Appreciate for the input. That's what I thought too. Were you able to successfully remove the wire harness clips without breaking them? Approx how long did it take you? Did you use an OEM replacement?
I was also thinking of removing the starter and transmission dip stick tube. It seems like it would free up the space to remove it from the engine bay. Seems like it would be less work...

i think the fan wire harness is the easy one; there are other harnesses in the engine bay that are a lot harder.
i think the fan harness is meant to be changed frequently; thus the easy clip.
there are some in the engine bay that require strange techniques or have unconventional clips.

I tried to take some of those clips out, those clips are SUPER fragile and stubborn. The heat cycles are definitely not friendly to the plastics... I've seen the 4G TL guys do it on Youtube, looks very doable Looks like my Saturday will be dedicated to this...
