So either an accident occured or the previous owner REALLY didn't like the MMC rear

this one is not a real 2010 RL.... it's an 05-06 RL with 09+ RL front.... the head unit is 05-06 RL (no AUX).... the door panel is not 09+, the head rest color doesn't match.... it might be a chopped car.... wonder who's the dope who's gonna get sucker into buying that car for $39K.... yikes!

well, from basic observation, the front is 09+, so is the intake, so are the seat controls (cooling).
I guess what caught my eye was the rear, but I've never owned 05+ to tell minor details inside...but I was just appaled. And I did just tell the dealer to shovel it. Hopefully everyone gets to see this chop before it's off the auction block.

the headrests are not 05, and appears that rest of interior is not as well

The climate control, shifter, and console are all 09+. However, I thought 09+ came with a wood steering wheel.

Whoever did what they did - it is TERRIBLE!!! ... I mean who wants a car that is assembled from pieces of 5 different years models lol ...
Very nice find - I like it!

Man I want to go take a look at this thing in person. Texas Direct Auto is just down the freeway a bit from my place.
Those headrests didn't come from a 2nd gen RL. The RL headrests have a split so you can adjust the angle of the cushion.
Also funny that whoever made this car combined what IMO are the two worst aspects of the years. The not so great 09+ front with the bland 05-08 rear, as opposed to the other way around.

I am not sure if that's even possible? I thought taillights and parts were not interchangeable? Maybe the car got into an accident and they somehow ordered wrong parts and made them fit somehow but still it just doesn't look right?
I know in S2000s, AP1 and AP2 parts are different and it's not easy to fit parts from one to the other like front bumper and headlights or taillights.
Edit: Did anyone notice the trunk liner is messed up around the edges?

I called this Moises guy and let em know about it, if he relisted the car I guess they are fully aware of the issue.
He said they were in the middle of inspecting the car (this is in the last 2 hours of the auction).
If you guys can take some detailed pics for us, this could be the first case of RLenstein...meaning if an old rear can be attached to a new car, maybe a new rear can be attached to old...I mean, we gotta get some positive out of this eh...

Check out the vehicle history.. It has quite a long history for a car just over a year old, especially over the last 9 months.. The car changes several states within a few weeks then gets a new title.. Could this possibly indicate "title washing"??
Plus in my personal experiences, all the bogus cars that appeared clean on carfax/autocheck that I encountered were registered as fleet vehicles (probably just a coincidence though)..

aside from the trunk liner it seems a perfect fit, as if they fit the entire rear end...but the question is...does it line up perfectly with rear doors and all. If it does... that opens up room for people to install new rear end on older cars.
and this guy should go to jail for trying to sell it as 2010 accident free too...

Did anyone read the description? The PGM-FI reference is pretty sweet, but the "Front Brake Diameter: 19mm" takes the cake.
No wait... below that, "Front Suspension Type: wood"...

Missing my
I was also not aware that the LATCH system was part of the lighting system. An even bigger shock was that we have Xenon mirrors and Homelink reading lights!
Paddle shifter door locks! Tilt and telescoping windows!
The nicest thing about this site is all the wonderful things I learn about my car every day. I wonder if the dealer has any relatives in Nigeria who can broker international deals...

'09 added a "Black wood" option, but the other style remained the same IIRC.

did anyone manage to take some pics of this frankenstein? i really want to see a side shot that details the the side of the taillights and the headlights. this would really confirm the "frankenstein" factor...
