05 RL Purchase help
#3
I just bought an '05 (CPO, previous lease with one owner, wood steering and shift knob upgrades) with 24k miles for $26,400 and I feel that I made out ok. I would say that it's not bad if you can get closer to that $20K range but that's just me. As far as I know, I might have overpaid which would suck. Love the car though!
Good Luck!

I think you got a good deal, an 05 with 24k miles is very low. the wood wheel and shift knob are worth about $500-$600 after market. I paid $27k for an 05 w/43k miles back in May, only w/shift knob and rear spoiler. My car is in mint condition and is CPO, one owner, came off lease after 32 months.
An 05 w/62k miles for $23k sounds a bit on the high side, 20 or less would be a better deal and there doesn't appear to be any shortage of 05s out there judging by autotrader. Have the tires been replaced, if not it will set you back at least $800 to replace them. You also can't get an extended warranty on the car because it's beyond 50k miles. I was able to get a 7/yr 100k factor warranty on mine (starts from date of service, (3/05).
