05 RL Navi DVD

05 RL Navi DVD

THose of you with the 05' RL... can somebody take out the navi dvd put it in your computer (assuming you have a dvd reader)... and type up the file names in here please?

Points to anybody who helps out.

I do not have the DVD and am hi-jacking here, but very cool job on the gauge-mount V1!

thats what your Navi uses for mapping information, its on a DVD. the Drive unit is in the trunk and the DVD is in the drive!

just to let you know Vikram, if you're gonna try putting it into your TL, it won't work another user on A-TL tried putting the RL DVD in and it won't load... FYI...

unless you have something else planned

Thanks! Maybe I should take a closer look at my car some time!

I still haven't received the NAV manual from the dealer. I'm wondering what else I'll learn when I get to read it.

I also copied all the files (about 8 Gigabytes totally) to my harddisk and as this DVD is obviously bootable made an iso image of it. DVD is dual layered so it is not easy to make a copy of it even for backup reasons. It is labelled "NavTECH ... Ver 4.12".

.BMP files are definitely Windows Bitmaps. After some examination of UPDATE_APL.exe I can say that this software is based on Windows CE. The processor unit is Hitachi SH4.

THanks Konstantin.... I was hoping for some different files... there goes my idea.. oh well.

If anybody wants to take pictures of the wires connected to the back of the dvd drive and post them please feel free!
