'05 RL Coin Tray Door Repair
I have read here that a problem with the coin tray door not staying closed is common, and that the cause is wear on a latch (part # 77297-SJA-003). Has anyone posted a how-to on getting the tray out of the console to do the replacement?
Thanx for any help.

Beekermartin, Thank you for your beautifully done video. Before I opened the forum this morning, I was able to remove the tray, but I appreciate your help!

Burning Brakes
He misses one step in his video, which is removing the light from the back of the ashtray. There is a bit of slack in the wire so pull it out and twist the light housing, comes right out.
Also, unrelated to this repair, my car had bolts holding the radio, not Phillips head screws as he shows. So if you are looking for screws, be prepared, they may be different.

That was worth the price of admission. Great information Now I know how to get at the ashtray to get at all those loose papers and junk that is left on top of the ashtray cover by my other driver (wife) that falls down behind the lid. Thank you for posting that!

Can some please verify the part number listed in the first post of this thread is correct. Part# 77297-SJA-003 according the drawing on Acurapartsforless.com is for the power port latch. I replaced that already. I need the latch for the coin door and it appears 77237-SJA-003 is the correct part for the coin door. I don't want to order the wrong one.
