'05 RL "clunk" @ 1st to 2nd shift??

I've got 800 miles on my new RL and have been noticing an unusual sound during the 1st to 2nd shift. This occurs only after a cold start...it is a very pronounced "clunk" that is coming from the front end...I looked underneath but can't see a ^%$# thing with all of the plastic cladding. Has anybody else experienced this? I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow, but usually like to tell them what to look for from info I get from this forum. (If I use the manual shift mode, the noise is not present...only after a cold start...engine has to be at ambient temp...if any heat from engine operation is still there, no noise is present.) Somebody help!

I have, but somebody said it was the antilock brakes testing.

Personally, I keep hoping it was one of the cats that I ran over in the morning.

I had too, but I thought it was related to the steering linkage because I could feel it on the steering wheel.
