hahaha... sorry man.

All of the wheels are dyed anyway... mine is parchment and the dark color is coming through in spots.

The reality is that most people wont even notice the color of your wheel, they will just see the fancy ass wood grain.

We notice it because we spend to much time talking about acuras. hahahaha

A general reminder to those thinking of upgrading to wood steering wheel. They are becoming discontinued starting with the parchment color. It took me three days and about fifty dealers throughout the country to finally find on in Arizona (from Connecticut). Paid $430 shipped but I'm anticipating it will be worth it especially when it becomes rare like the wood shifter which I scored on eBay for $30.

The wheel is by far the best interior aesthetic mod you can do. It is something you will see, touch, and appreciate every single time you drive. If you sit in traffic at all, .

I would venture to put it up against wheels, lip kits and coilovers too. You won't be disappointed.

I just thought of something..... If acura is discontinuing the wood wheel, what part will they use to replace wheels from vehicles that have them as stock if something should go wrong?????

The stock pile that they are already sitting on, or an upgraded wheel... ask someone at the dealer to look it up, I'm sure there is a cross reference.

+1

What ppl fail to realize is that the wheel and knob feel so good that it reduces natuarl reaction time since the hands never want to leave them. That plus the increase of 7hp makes it a win/win

First, it is an accessory and not stock, so there are no regulations or rules that say they have to keep a stock on hand.

However, see below. There a thousands of these wheels available; you just have to cough up $240 more.

Yea I saw that. Toyed with the idea of getting it dyed but the leather would still be worn. Getting it rewrapped is expensive.

cheapest I got quoted to rewrap was $180 CAD. There are kits where you can rewrap yourself but I cant see it turning out tha well with the detail in the wood wheel

Thats actually not that bad. Cheapest I've been quoted thus far was $250USD. So buy a used wheel at 200-250 I might as well buy a new one

I need a woodwheel!

So I finally got the finished product. It come out real nice. With the cost of what I got the wheel for and the cost to dye it, well worth it.

Local guy here charged me a bill plus tax. I gave him my air bag and he matched it pretty good.

Selling my (brand new) beige wood wheel. Planned on purchasing a White on Beige 08, that sold so I got a 07 Silver on Black. No need for it and I have not fallen in love with the wood anyway so someone else gets to enjoy it! Sorry though guys no knob.

I just had the beige wood wheel install a couple days ago and I must say is is 100% worth every penny (part + install was $525). I actually look forward to driviing now just so I can spend time with Precious (that her name). I recomend anyone thinking of doing the install DO IT NOW as the whees are begining to be discontinued therefore even ebay sellers will jack up the prices due to high demand.

I wonder why they are selling them with all the buttons. Maybe they don't realize or they are just to lazy to take them off?

Well he said he could do it with it in place, but Im smarter than that. I took that bad boy off and gave it to them. No time for "Oops" or "You gave me the car with paint on the dash" haha

Anyone know of any good leather recondiitoning places or products? I picked up a wheel from a junk car for $50. Wood is in great condition but the leather could use some TLC

If the vinyl is worn, I would just have it re-wrapped.

I was quoted $800 in the Minneapolis area for a rewrap. A new OEM steering wheel would be $650 installed. Seems high compared to what I am reading here.
