Anyone want to hang? I'll be here till Sunday morning.

Photoshoot maybe? I haven't looked around yet but the 25mph speed limits are already starting to bug me. Price of gas is around $4.40/g for 93.

Trip average so far over 170mi is 22.5 mpg.

went to check out the Wharf yesterday, clam and scallop chowder soups were the best I ever had. Plus the bowls were huge.

I did get charged $3 for 2 sips of pineapple juice, and when confronting the waitress I got a 2nd, large cup of juice...for another $3.

At least she gave me back the $10 I paid for parking.

So...I thought I was ticked at 25mph speed limit, most other places in this area have it at 20!!!

Going to be visiting the castles today.

I didn't find the mansion tours boring nor overpriced, and we went within the last year.
Marble House is definitely worth the tour. Fort Adams is where the Concours takes place.

not sure I'll get to ocean drive as it's 20mi away from current location but I will definitely visit if I'm in the area. Haven't used my lil video cams yet so will definitely mount those if anything interesting comes up.

maybe its because I was a college kid and looking at old mansions was boring to me... and over priced... I still love Newport, but only when the tourists are gone...

well, done with the mansions. They are still boring even when you're hitting higher than just graduated numbers.

Ocean Drive was...a nice drive. Was recording on 2 GoPro's from 3 positions so I may post those videos in here eventually.

To round up my day, I went to some animal sculpture gardens when I backed into a concrete barrier with a metal nail sticking out...that destroyed one of my mud guards.

Trip average 19.7mpg over 227mi.

Last gas fill up $4.279/gallon for 93.

Those averages are from the car. That counts city driving, etc.

Gosh, I hope so. I forget the car keeps an average speed. I thought he meant for the long haul from RI to NY he averaged 40+ mph. That would be gruesome.

yes...that averages in 20-25mph city limits, which can drive someone insane. 40 is what I eeked out w/ busts up to 90.

cops are using more and more laser traps even w/ photo traps.

if the speed limit wasn't 20 I would have enjoyed it a bit more me thinks.

I like the signs for slow children where essentially it's a picture of a speed demon with ostrige legs...
