*****Update Navi with Live Traffic?*****

Hey Guys,

Need your help and/or direction.

I have a 2005 RL and I would like to hook up the live traffic capabilities to my Navi. I know that XM offers the service, but I'm not sure if I have all the required components. Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Ryan

Honestly, aside from your components, Navtraffic is garbage.

Just use Waze on your phone.

True story, tried it and it only shows Traffic when you are zoomed pretty far out. I like to be zoomed in close enough where I can see whats coming up clearly. I wish the Nav Zoomed out automatically when going over 45mph.

Its old technology... its easy to forget but in 2005 the flip phones were all we had.

I wish someone would integrate our display into a plug and play kit for a tablet.

Quick question: the updated Nac disc, any benefits? I still have the 2005 version.

It should have updated POI's and updated certain roads that weren't there in '05. I would consider that and decide if it's worth it to you.

as stated, its a good investment if you have new road development... but again, LoL, use your phone.

What are you using to mirror?

Navtool gave me a 2nd video input, so i hook up a hdmi converter and have the apple cable to mirror. Simple and easy setup.
