sounds like your car battery is dying, maybe even the key fob battery

Since the handles are new I was thinking the same thing with the battery... can you manually enter the car and try to start it.

I just got a call back from the dealer...the service guy said the door handles they installed tested fine and that a fuse blew and that took care of the problem...and they are looking more in depth at it...but what if I'm out in the middle of b.f.e. and the fuse blows again then wtf am I supposed to do??? He's supposed to call me back in the morning and tell me the final diagnosis....I love this car but this is b.s. lol I'm sending it to the auction block and buying a ridgeline...lol...

No need in holding on to it if you cannot rely on it.

Sounds like they may not have installed the seal around the handle properly.

hey Heavy... on my 05 my handles work fine, but if my passanger handle gets wet (after a good wash for example) it wont lock by putting your finger on the sensor on the outside of the handle. is there just a seal I could try replacing?

When mine went bad it was absolutley related to me washing the car with the key in my pocket.

The dealer told me that there was a seal between the handle and the door that was leaking.

That combined with the fact that the car was constantly locking and unlocking when the water went over the handle while I had the key was in my pocket killed it.

Not sure if that helps you, but its first hand what happened to my o5.

Had a similar issue with my '06 RL and it was the car battery. Sounds like you have had everything else tested except the car battery. Give it a shot, can't hurt.
