Question on Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus
I have an acura rdx 2013 AWD and at 35K the stock tires needed to be replaced. I replaced them with Pirelli Scorpion Plus Verde. Took the car to the dealer for an oil change and got back the inspection and notice the tires at 4/32 on their chart. I went back to when I purchased the tire and have the brochure that says tire is garanteed 65k miles. I have 72k miles on the car so doubt going to be able to get 35k more miles on 2/32 thread. I notice to file a claim I need to have filled out this sheet that shows I rotated the tires at every 5-7k miles. I would need to work through one of their authorized dealers to file this warranty claim. I am in Connecticut. Aynone know anyone with any experience with Pirelli on this warranty? I think I will be able to get through the winter but by next fall would like to change the tires out for winter.

Every 15k miles I rotate and balance.
The paper work would need to be done at the pirelli dealer every 3-4k miles which I didn't do just had the dealer rotate when the maintenance schedule advised.
Maybe you are right the tech didn't read the thread right, because 10k miles ago I believe i was read at 7/32, so doubt i burned 3/32 in 10k miles.

hmmm. so it would seem as the tech measured correctly.

Tech was right 4/32 I can't believe it. Should I try to find a Pirelli dealer and get them to warranty the tires for me. I didn't fill out the tire rotation sheet sheet. Think a dealer will help me.

Think I can get someone to take me on to try to get me some warranty? I did move recently and can show the tires were ordered to another state and installed.
Think a tire shop will take a shot and help me get something for them.
Tire rack I can get the pirelli scoprion verde for 740 installed. Think someone can beat that?

Tire warranties like all other warranties have conditions:
Here's directly from Pirelli's website:https://www.pirelli.com/tires/en-us/.../tire-warranty

- You have had the tires roatated every 5,000 to 7,000 miles.
- The tires are worn evenly across the tread, down to the treadwear indicator (2/32'') at which time they are considered to be 100% worn out. There cannot be more than 2/32" tread depth difference across the tire.
- Your servicing Pirelli Dealer has completed the Tire Rotation Record.

Hmm wonder if I can get a dealer to fill it out for me that will sell me new tires.
Anyway, even if I did local dealers are more expensive than tire rack so pretty much will break even with ordering again from tire rack and with tirerack won't have to deal with the hassle of the paper work.
How many miles you think I can drive on 4/32 until I go to 2/32?

I was looking into the Verde Plus for my 2014 FWD, but seems like the two issues are increased road noise after 10K miles and short tread life. That fact that Tire Rack is starting to discount a lot of the tires also makes me think the reviews have more weight. I also was looking into Conti ProContact as an alternative. It's a touring tire, with a 80-90K tread rating.
Any follow ups on the the Verde Plus long term?

I have had these for 2 years and almost 20k and they have been great. Little wear and very quiet still. I am a “spirited” driver, so not as sticky as I like, but I hope to get at least 50k out of these.

First off the tire shop that told me they were low they were not. I am actually just retiring these after 55k miles.
Going to buy another set. $700 mount, balance and alignment cannot go wrong.
My only complaint and not sure if it is due to car and some to all the kind of tire these are is in ice and snow not the best . They are not horrible but not great

I only run mine for three seasons, so no experience with snow and ice. Dedicated winter tires and rims are the way to go IMHO

I’ve got those P-Scorpion Verde tires as the replacement tires on my 2010 AWD MDX. They were installed at 45,700 Miles for $744 out the door with new TPMS. I have almost 73,000 Miles now on the MDX so only 28,000 Mile. I can’t get to my SUV to check exact tread depth right now, but probably will need to change them in another 5,000 to 8,000 Miles. I was expecting more mileage than this, but probably won’t press for a warranty replacement. I’ve found them to be pretty good tires, but yes, in my layman’s opinion, they wear fast.
I read this thread as homework to find good replacement tires for my wife’s 2014 RDX FWD. What is the general consensus on the best replacement tire? I probably would not use the P-Scorpion Verde again. Will probably go with Michelin.

Tire Rack has an a great deal on the Scorpio Verde All Season Plus @ $115.36 a tire
Add 3 Plenti points per dollar (which translates to $13.84 in Exxon/Mobil gas) and 2% cash back on my MasterCard on top of a $70 Pirelli Mastercard mail-in rebate. I think it was too good to pass up and today was the last day of the rebate.
Will report initial impressions in the coming weeks
