The OD is fine, but most would consider 255 to be too wide for a 7.5" wheel. Your wheel is 190mm wide, but the tire will be 228mm wide. The stock tire is 195mm shoulder to shoulder. You really need a 9" wheel to run a 255 properly.

Thanks for the info. Its funny...I was looking at Tire Rack at a specific set of tires (Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06), say that the rim width range is 7" - 9".

Well, first, tirerack isn't the be-all-end all authority on the subject, and second, they're very politically correct. As I said, most would consider a 255 to be too wide for a 7.5" wheel, but it really depends on what your goals are, and the specific tire in question. With the one you're looking at, the king of the no-season tires, you'll be getting super soft handling characteristics because of the excess sidewall. But again, if you're not worried about some negative handling consequences, and prefer the 80's Dodge Daytona look, go for it .
Is there a specific site that people use to buy rims and tires? I am trying to keep my options open. But I also want to go at least a 20x9 but dont know what offset I should be looking at.

I just ordered a set of wheels/tires from Tirerack.com. 20x9 wheels and 265/45-20 tires. I believe the offset was +38.

If you dont mind me asking, what kind of wheels did you order?
For some reason I was looking at rotiform BLQ or Varrstoens. haha
But I am also interested in keeping the wheels light while looking stylish.

Fuckin around with my new wheels. They are going on my TL once I get it back from the shop. Getting my air ride installed but these Infinitewerks would look badass on the RDX.
These are 20x10.5 on 245/35/20. They are not mounted just in front of the stocks. Bolt pattern is 5x120. May have to cop some adapters and run my 20" VSXX with bigger tires.

Im thinking about front 20x8.5 rear 20x10, offset 35/40. Will it work? Do I need to make any mod in order to put them on? Also, any suggestion for tire? Thanks guys!
RDX 13'
Wheel: Ruffino Chronos
Wheel size: 20"x9"
Tire: Falken ZIEX S/TZ05
Tire size: 275/45/20 front and rear
I'm guessing these are +40, right? I like them a lot, and wonder how much room you have front and rear to go outward. I really want 20 x 10.5 w/295/40 tires, just not sure of the poke.
I love the look of aftermarket wheels on our RDX but the wheel gap is a killer. I refuse to drop stacks on wheels unless I can get some lowering springs to help clean up the look.
Finally bit the bullet and ordered my wheels. I ordered snows too in the factory size for the OEM wheels.
20x9.5 offset 40 with 255/45/20 tires
Every car I've owned I've changed the wheels... I have less than 100km on the odo (just got it last week) and my wife was rolling her eyes at me already...
Quick shot of my new wheels. Volk racing G25 prism 20x9.5 +40 fronts and 20X10 + 30 rears wrapped in Continental DWS06 275/40 r20. Big thanks to Bobinator for these wheels!
I just picked up my 2016 RDX AWD Advance today...I don't mind the stock rims so much. But, I believe the stock tires aren't that highly rated, so I'm guessing I will have to upgrade at some point in the next year or so (supposedly they aren't good in the snow/ice). I figured if I'm going to upgrade, why not get wider looking tires. (I just like the look of wider tires on a car or SUV).
Has anyone put 255/55/18 tires on their RDX? I looked up the dimensions of the tire, the overall radius is only 0.1" larger than the stock tires (235/60/18). Are there any issues with turning or steering? Do the tires have enough clearance in the front? Would love to see pics if anyone has put this size tire on the stock rims...
I think 255's are too wide for the stock 7.5" wide wheels. You could physically get them on stock rims but the handling might be rather messy.
Bought some 18" Konig's today. Gunmetal with a polished machined face to compliment the paint & trim.
congrats on the purchase!
i was also thinking of buying new summer tires and wheels for the rdx but I'm undecided on whether I should go with 19s or stick with 18s. I have the elite/advance wheels and it might just be me but I feel like they're a bit small and do not suit the car overall. It could just be the design of them making them seem smaller than they really are
how do you feel the 18s fit and did you also keep the stock tire size as well?

At first I considered going 20" after going through this thread, lots of great looking combinations. However, I couldn't find a design I was happy with after visiting several shops. I found these Konig's on accident and after looking at the the vehicle IMO, I felt the stock wheel design gave them a smaller perception. I'm happy with this combination as I feel the more open wheel design balances things out better, plus I found a wheel with the right balance of gunmetal & machined that I was looking for. Doesn't hurt to save money by keeping the stock tires.
I'm a new member and just bought a 13' RDX, and of course I had to change the rims, I wanted to change for 20'' but I found a great deal with some 19''...
Here it is:
The only aftermarket rims going on my RDX are for winter use. The factory rims on the Elite model are fine.
I chose to go one size down on wheel diameter to give me a higher sidewall for a better ride on winter roads.
Other than diameter, these are 100% identical to Acura OEM specs.

I'm looking to replace the tires on my aftermarket 22" rims since they are completely worn out. My current set up is as follows:
Rims: Savini Black Di Forza BM6 22x9"
Tires: Nitto Invo 255/30R22
I am looking at some tires that are 265/40/R22 in size. Ideally, I would like a set of tires with side wall profile slightly higher than my current set up in order to reduce the harshness in ride and fit comfortably on my 2016 RDX Elite.
These are the tires I'm considering:
Michelin Premier LTX All seasons 265/40R22
Yokohama Parada Spec-X 255/35R22
Does anyone know if the 265/40/R22 tire size would fit without any rubbing or would the 255/35R22 size be a better fit. Rdxblackd, I see you are using 265/35R22 sized tires which looks really nice by the way.
Here is a photo of my current set up:
Thanks everyone! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Jemini84 thanks for the comment. My 22s are 9 wide as well if i had an option I'd go up to 275 tires. My wheels are not shielded at all by the tires, and it's too easy to curb. My current setup seems to have more room so 40 look like
a good fit. I ran 275x35x20 x8 35 offset on my 2016 and a they were perfect flush

Thanks for the reply Rdxblackd...much appreciate the feedback. I will go for the 265/40R22 sized tire and hopefully get them installed this summer.
dont do it, they dont fit. i just bought some and had to return them and order 265/35-22. the 40 is too tall and they rubbed when turning on the test fit
