The 2013 RDX has only 35K miles. In last 2-3 weeks I started hearing rumbling noise appears to come from the rear and mostly related when going over bumps/holes. I checked the rear brakes,
and pads still have plenty of life left. Sounds like there is something loose in the rear cargo area which I checked and also checked the spare tire well - there is nothing rolling.

Anyone has ideas ? Since the car has such low miles and mostly garage kept, I am hoping that these are not rear shock.

I had some rumbling noise in the rear of my 2016 RDX. It started around 50K miles. Looked high and low for anything that was loose underneath. Checked and lubed bushings. No joy. Replaced the rear shocks and the noise is gone.

I also had a rumbling and loud noises coming from wheel well. Noises started around 75K miles. Replaced shocks and not noise gone, but gas mileage a couple of miles per gallon.

Since asking the question, I replaced both rear shocks. Noise is gone.I asked about replacing front as well and mechanic said he never has had an issue and needed to replace the front shocks.
