19" MDX rims on 2013 RDX?

I want to put the 19" rims availabe on the 2013 MDX Advance Pkg onto my 2013 RDX AWD Tech Pkg. See picture below.

I checked online and it turns out the outer diameter is the same on both tires, just the profile is different. My only concern is the stock rim on the RDX is 7.5" wide and the MDX rim is 8.5" wide. Does anyone know if this will work? I dont want the tire to rub against the struts or anything.

They will not fit. The RDX uses a 5 on 114.3mm bolt pattern and the MDX uses a 5 on 120mm bolt pattern.

I feel you. I really wanted to upgrade the 18" "donuts" on the RDX as well, and was saddened to find out that the current MDX (& ZDX) have different bolt patterns than the RDX. You'd think that all the Acura CUV's (MDX, RDX, ZDX) would have the same bolt patterns, but no.

Also, I really liked the ZDX 20" accessory wheel. Although I'd probably have them refinished in regular hypersilver than keep them chrome. I'm no fan of chrome.

The only OEM alternative is to go with the 2007-2012 RDX 19" accessory wheel that is now discontinued. It's a good looking wheel, but I really do prefer a 20" OEM wheel for the 13 RDX. Unfortunately there is no such option...

Too bad these won't work:

I think you mean Motegi wheels. In any event, I'm getting a little too old for aftermarket wheels. Back in the day, it would be a different story (but probably on a different type of car). And since I plan on keeping this car maybe 2-3 years, it's much easier to sell/trade the car with OEM wheels as far as resale value is concerned.

But if I were to go aftermarket, I'd recommend a higher quality wheel like Volk (Rays), Advan, Work, or maybe RonJon. I think a $40,000 car deserves better.

Thanks. I wasn't even thinking the bolt pattern would be different.

The good news (for me) is that they are the same bolt pattern and offset as my Mustang GT. I'll be looking for a set of 19" Brembo GT wheels.

If you go that route, PLEASE post the photos. That sounds like an awesome setup.

Alas this isn't going to happen. I went with these:

Not everyone's a fan of chrome but chrome does contrast pretty well with silver.

The UK Honda website shows to different styles of 19" wheels for the CRV. The Cursa and Orion. The also have a diesel with a manual transmission but that is another story.

The bolt pattern was changed on the 2014 MDX's....it is now 5 on 114.3mm bolt pattern, similar to the 2013-14 RDX/CRV/Accord. It is not 5 on 120mm.
