Has anyone else experienced this? My RDX is a 2016. Dealer says it seems like it’s working normal. SA even brought another 2G RDX our that they had on the lot and said he couldn’t tell the difference. I can reproduce with the engine on or off and it only occurs in the last 1/4” of pedal travel. Fairly annoying in stop and go driving. Thanks.

the fact that it squeaks with the engine off indicates it's the actual pedal.

here, try this;
with the engine off, pump the brakes til the pedal gets stiff.
when the pedal is stiff, does it still squeak?

Yep, I actually tried that already and it still squeaks.

so,it's the brake pedal and not the brake pads...



when the car is off, and the brakes are pumped...it takes away the pad aspect. it narrows out the brakes.

but of course, there's only so much one can diagnose over the internet....I cant physically inspect the car. so, if it's not the pedal....

Sounds like the pivot on the brake pedal under the dash needs to be lubricated.
