My wife's 2G RDX (2013) did the same thing. During a rain storm the alarm sounded plus when I responded to the alarm, the driver, passenger side window, and sun roof were open about 2"
So far, a one time occurrence. Thoughts? Any thing similar?

my wife's previous 2012 RDX had this issue, and it was related to the roof rack install. I guess the dealer didn't use any sealer or filler to stop water from leaking through the roof rack mounting holes. So when it rain, water would get into the car and come into contact with some wires and caused the alarm to go off. maybe you have the same issue?

It might be a stretch but if you press and hold the unlock button the door windows and sunroof start to open. The only way I see that happening is it being pressed accidentally though.

Anyone else had or having this issue?
I saw a few YouTube videos where the hood latch sensor was faulty and causing the alarm to trigger randomly day or night. I've had this happen all of a sudden on our 2017 RDX, three times last night and twice today. It is very windy outside, thought maybe the car was being jostled and triggering a motion sensor. I've since unplugged the hood latch sensor and we'll monitor to see if this has corrected the problem. I did try manually operating the hood latch switch to trigger the alarm and nothing happened. I thought to just leave the car unlocked, but this model is fully electronic and will automatically lock after 30 seconds or if you walk away with the fob. If this doesn't work I'm going to have to unplug the battery for the weekend and call the dealer on Monday.
if you've had something like this happen yourself please indicate what the resolution was. Just curious in case there are other avenues I should look at. Thank you.

Old thread but my wife's 2017 RDX started doing this. Battery is brand new and reading 12.7 volts. After reading Michael's post, I disconnected the hood latch sensor. This stopped the alarm. However, it stops it because the alarm system won't arm because it thinks the hood is open. Same would happen if you tried to arm the system with a door open.
SO, with this plug unplugged, you have no security for entire car. For some folks like us who live in the sticks, that may be OK.
What I plan to try next is to plug the switch in and, using tie wraps or tape, permanently close the switch so the car thinks the hood is closed all the time. This will do two things:
1) Allow the alarm system to work for the rest of the car (everything but the hood),
2) Tell me whether the problem was really with the hood switch or not. It could be something else feeding the alarm system.
