Installed Hids on my 2013 RDX base

These are Morimoto xb 5500k bulbs

Yeah its a shame the base doesnt come with HIDs

Cost cutting measures, that's how they sell them at lower price points to target more people to buy them

Just got a '13 RDX from an '08 TL. Really miss the bright white lights.

Might have to look into this.

yes, the brand Morimoto is a www.theretrofitsource.com exclusive
all you need to know is the bulb type of your car, most likely D2S, but I'm not positive...check to make sure
then you click on the D2S bulb kit and voila!

Nah if it's not HID from factory it won't be D2S.

I Got The H11b bulbs..then you wont have any shadows on your light output

i have ordered the same 5500k from retrofitsource

Nice,
cant wait to install them in my rdx this weekend. i do prefer the 5500 color more than 4500 color.
how hard was the whole process?
and where did you mount the ballast?
i am thinking about getting industrial strength velcro or maybe just zipties

It's a fairly easy DIY..just make sure you use a HID relay harness and you won't have any flickering issues..if I remember right I had to cut a hole in the cover that covers the back of the headlight where the bulb is installed so you can feed the wire that goes to your ballast
