^ Hey, quick question for you. In another thread you mentioned you installed the Morimoto XB fogs. Do you know if those led fogs match the 5k led light color of VLEDs 5k lights? I installed VLED 5k switchback leds in my '13 RDX. I was looking to match the VLED 5k with morimotos fogs.

Sorry haven't been active in this thread recently. Been busy with my TL but I am not sure if they would be an identical match since they are made by 2 different companies but if they aren't I would say they are close. The 5k Vleds I do have installed are high output so they are extremely bright. I wanted to keep the 5k them going all around and everything matches really well.

Posted in the wheel and tire thread but decided to put my new wheels up against the RDX to get an idea. My wife would like something similar to these though.

Mr. Carbon,

Everything looks great. I like both set of wheel mock-ups you shared.

I personally did not plan on any modifications for my RDX, except for tint, cargo cover and all weather OEM floormats and trunk mat.

Although, I can't help but entertain the idea further after seeing yours.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment. The RDX is nice straight out of the factory but it doesn't hurt to add your own flare to make it more enjoyable.

I agree. Have already upgraded to some basic essentials which I mentioned in my earlier post. Not sure where I'll go from there though.

I'll be looking forward to see what combination of wheels/tires you end up using on your RDX and how they ride. =)

Hey Carbon, how easy was it to install the Morimoto Fogs? I don't really use my fog lights often, but I like doing upgrade stuff like this. I have not used my 2017 Elite on a dark road yet to see how well the LED Jewel Headlights work, so the added Morimotos intrigues me

Thanks!

Hey sorry for the delayed response. Install is super easy. I believe I posted a DIY on the install. Really all you do is unscrew the fender liner, unclip the factory foglights from the harness, remove 2 screws that hold the housing in place and reinstall the Morimotos. It's quick and easy. The Jewels are great at night at is but it's added light so it helps light up the road closer to the vehicle. Plus it looks a lot cleaner than the washed out halogens.

Good luck!

No worries, I found your install thread, Thanks! I bought some H11 LED replacements to try first. If I find i need more I'll step up to the Morimotos.
