2016 Chrome Door Trim on a 2015 RDX

For 2016 they introduced nice looking chrome door trim pieces as an accessory. After some research, I found they also fit the '13-15 models as well. For your viewing pleasure, find a couple of shots of my '15 RDX AWD Tech in Kona Coffee with the trim installed. Enjoy!

Wow, I really like it. I might have just have to try it on my '13 RDX AWD tech as well. Mine is black, so your Kona really gives me a good idea of how mine would look with the chrome trim.

Upon a quick search, it looks like the trim goes for about $200 each. Would you please confirm if that's about right?

How easy/difficult would you say installation was?

Thanks!

The entire 4 piece accessory set is about $200, but if you go to a site that has the part listed with the diagram, you ought to be able to order the 4 individual pieces for less than the total (at least that was the case when I did mine about 3 months ago) - saved me about $45 at the time. But if they took that loophole away, then $200 is for the set.

Install is easy - just make sure you mark the spots like the instructions say (masking tape to put the trim in the center of the door trim) and then stick it on once and it'll be quick and easy. Took me under an hour taking my time.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Hi Andy -

$200 is pretty reasonable for the whole set. $45 less sounds even better of course.

If you could recommend us a site that would be great, PM me if you prefer. Nonetheless, thank you for the information, very helpful.

Here's the link for OEM Acura Parts who I've dealt with many times. I see that the 4 individual parts are still less than the overall accessory :-) OEM Acura RDX 2016 LOWER DOOR TRIM (CHROME) parts

Bought the 4 trim pieces too. Saved about $50. Bought 10mm tape off eBay for $5 and installed. Can't say I love it, but looks nice.

Looks like the price has gone up a bit. MSRP on the site linked is $285 and they sell at $199. You mentioned you bought 10mm tape off EBay. Didn't the chrome trim have pre-installed 3M tape to adhere it to the car?

The chrome pieces do have adhesive on the back. The 10mm masking tape is used per the installation instruction to mark the distance from the top when attaching it. It helps.
i paid just under $150 including shipping for the 4 trim pieces.

Could you list where you bought your trim? Seems like a really good price.

Yes you can buy them individually here is mine installed. You have to lookup using part Numbers however you don't get rubbing alcohol I had a few leftover from my side molding installation.
