2013 RDX AWD TECH - Basque Red Pearl II w/ Accessory Wheels
Here are a couple of links to pictures of my RDX. Once I can upload to the site, and get a better day for taking pictures, I'll post more here. The pictures don't do the wheels justice.

Thanks for the pics mikejmack. Is it my monitor or your camera - but is Basque Red Pearl II a brownish-red color? I thought it was more a dark red. I probably need to check it out in person. Still a nice looking vehicle.
Also, I originally thought the wheels looked like flowers when I first saw them a while back, but I like them now. How much extra did those cost?

The wheels were $2,500 (they're more here in Canada). You get to keep the standard wheels as well, which sold it for me because I want to use those wheels for winter tires. It is a lot of money, but I don't regret it for a minute. They are the first thing that people comment on when they see the RDX. They actually look much better than they do in the pictures.

Hey...are you an RDX slut? You told me mine was nicer and now you flatter this guy. *LMAO* Just joking! He bought his from the same dealership as mine and I love this color! I saw one in stock when I picked mine up but it was a non tech and didn't have teh accessory wheel.....I agree, his RDX looks hot!

BTW, I saw my first RDX in Calgary!!! It's a black one - from a distance, I saw this shiny, shiny grill and I was wondering what it was. I thought it looked great. Then I realized that it's a black RDX! I thought it was really hot.
Oh gosh, now I am really getting a reputation!!!!!!!! LOL

Motorweek used a Basque Red Pearl II in their story about the RDX this week. It looked great.

Nice RDX! I love the diamond cut wheels and makes the vehicle really stand out but I just can't justify the extra cost for the wheels (even though my dealer is offering them for 2000 CDN).

Thanks I hear you. It was a tough decision, but I figured after I bought some half decent winter rims with the TPMS it would set me back $800 or more. I got to keep the base wheels with the TPMS units installed for my winters. Also with my last vehicle, i settled for less than I really wanted and it didn't take me long to regret it.

Hey....
On your second picture, I noticed one thing...you have two rogue dandelions...Have you taken care of those?

Its a disease! I am obsessed with clean cars and manicured lawns! My house is also incredibly tidy and clean...luckily its not a germ phobia but simply a love for seeing things clean, tidy and uncluttered. I am also obsessed with clean cars and especially my Acura's Who buys a 2012 Hyundai Accent simply to reduce the expose of his nice vehicles to the rain?! Its a good thing I can make my own forecasts and not get caught in a stray shower

Looks very nice. That would have been my color choice if I could have it with the black interior here in the US. Black interior it must be so I settled on the Graphite Luster Metallic. Picking it Up on Tuesday.

Thanks. The black one I test drove had the parchment interior and I really liked it. But here in Canada, I could only get the ebony with the red. I must say, that I like the two together. I think both interiors look great. I think you'll be very happy with your RDX.

Isn't that ironic? You can only get what I want and cannot get and I can only get what you wanted and cannot get.

I used Zaino clay bar with a quick detailing spray ( which probably wasn't required as it didnt take much of anything off) then I just put on a coat of Collinite 845. Used Zaino tire gloss for tires and trim.

MIKEJMACK....BTW, I test drove the exact same vehicle as well, the black with parchment interior. I much prefer the black interior, didn't you notice all the noticeable scuff on the lighter interior? Its ironic that in Canada we have a black interior with the DWP but you can't get that combo in the US either.
Also...thanks for pulling those two dandelions!

Mike, I love how your Basque Red Pearl II really shines after your detailing! Under bright sun condition, it really glows and even has that brick red tinge to it. It's really beautiful. What a rich colour! Love it.

That is a beautiful color! IF DW and I didn't like white vehicles so much AND IF I had known South Carolina('79) would be ranked #3 in NCAA Football , I could have gotten this color and had my 'garnet and black' vehicle. Problem is...Texas A & M has practically the same color and I'm living amongst a sea of Burnt Orange(U Texas, donchaknow).
I think 'our' dealer has only gotten a very few of this color and all have been claimed before the truck arrived!
Back when I was at USC(the original, South Carolina ), I had a Triumph TR-7 that was 'carmine' in color. The towels and car wash water would actually turn red each time I washed the car over two years! NOT the best color 'back then'!

I'm a little late to the party but nice colour and I think those wheels are COOKING HOT!
I take delivery of my Forged Silver with ebony interior and Tech Pkg this coming weekend. I couldn't justify those wheels...well not this year ;-)

^^^ Thanks. I had many regrets with my last vehicle, so I decided to spend the extra this time around to get exactly what I wanted.
Congrats on your purchase. I have seen one of the FSM in my area and it looks very nice. You will be very pleased.

Gorgeous RDX! The wheels look fantastic! New owner of an RDX 2013 here too. I really thought about the basque pearl, but I live in Florida, and the summer is murder in a dark car. I went with the forged silver metallic, which tends to look a little blue on a sunny day.

Great looking rims on the RDX.
A couple of questions..
Did you buy those directly from the dealer? I really like the bright silver finish. Did it come just like that? The pictures that I've seen on these rims seem like they're a "two tone" color.
Any feedback would be appreciate!!
Thanks..

Thanks. I did buy them from the dealer. In Canada, if you buy accessories at the time of purchase, then the warranty extends to the accessories.
They are two tone. The inside of the spokes are a light gunmetal colour paint. The spokes themselves are the diamond cut aluminum and are quite bright. Not as bright as chrome, but fairly reflective for sure. There is a subtle contrast between the spokes and the painted area, but it looks very nice. I would say that they look much better in person than they do in the pictures and I think most that have seen them in person would agree.
If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
