LED taillight suggestions (pics)

I switched out most of the external halogen bulbs for LEDs. The rear lights I got from Lexen and the front lights I got from iJDMToy. The only thing was that I didn't get the adapter for the DRL so now its biting me in the ass and I have to re-order it. But while I'm at it, I'm considering switching out the rear taillight (168) bulb. I don't really like the ones I installed for 2 reasons:

1) The color is different from the brake light. (both are red LEDs but the brake light is noticeably darker)
2) The bulb is too visible and sticks out quite a bit. (2nd pic)

Has anyone tried to install a 2-sided flank style bulb? (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Audi-BMW-Me...b-p/10-032.htm) It only comes in white so I'm sure the color will be off, but might look nicer shining in both directions of the lamp.

Any suggestions?

I've also installed the Lexen ones and was not very happy with the results. I ended up getting some other ones from ebay and they are much better. You'd want to look for bulbs that contain either SMD or CREE in the description. They are much brighter.

Thanks Phantom. I saw your previous posts and tried out the Lexen ones first because it was reasonably priced. I'm not sure whether having a bright bulb is something I want for the taillights. I'm interested to see how a flank style would look so I ordered a pair. If it fails, I'll put the originals back in. I'll post some pics when I install them.

I never did follow up on my post, but better late then never! The flank style bulbs fit and would actually look good, if they were red.
But here are some pics of my LEDs.

These look pretty good. The tails lamps are the original ones or the new ones which you were talking about? It might be better if you can post a short video link of the lamps in operation. Great mod.

I only changed the bulbs to LED, so the tail lamps are original. See 1st post above for a close-up. The light is brighter and crisper than OEM.

I am in the market for LED drls and fog lights to match the OEM HIDs. What brand did you go with for the fogs and drls? Did you have to add resistors to either?

I looked for cargo and backup LED bulbs, checked Amazon, Pep boys, Walmart, but amazingly Auto zone had the most and best choice, they not only had pretty much every bulb for tail lights, signals, cargo..., but they had many of them in white, red, amber and blue. Just thought I would share the info.
BTW: I changed the cargo lights and back up lights of my 2 cars and it's great, I would say it's 3 times brighter than regular bulbs.
It will be one of my first mods when I get an RDX.
