Advance running boards and illuminated door sills
I was looking through the accessories for the 2016 RDX and was wondering about these two items. First, does anyone know exactly what the advance running boards look like, in comparison to the sport step ones? Also, has anyone seen the illuminated door sills? How do they look at night? I recall there used to be an aftermarket mod for door sills in the 3G TL forums, but I don't recall any OEM Acura ones back then.

I believe the difference in running boards is the length of the step (1/2 or full), chrome finish or silver and different design.
As for the door sills. I haven't seen the Acura ones in person. Thought about getting them but it's not a big deal. I have seen them in the Range Rover and a few other vehicles and it's a nice touch. No real function except looks.

The advance boards show a chrome facia the entire length, they look very nice. I am debating on getting them.....(read pricy)....as they are just cosmetic. As for adults there likely would be little function, however they would be nice for smaller kids, as they are not real wide.

IMO they look nice but the door light and map lights don't really match them. When I get around to changing the door lights (to LED) I'll post pics.

Nice I like em. They would look really nice with interior LEDs.

I have yet to get dirty pants from the running boards. I use them, great for cleaning the roof or if you need to put anything on the roof rack. RDX stays clean since I applied the hydrophobic coating. Rarely gets dirty.
