We had the roof rack and crossbars installed by the dealer when we bought our 2013 RDX. We are going out of town this weekend and need to use the roof rack for the first time. I went to move the front crossbar fully forward, but it seems to be too short for the expanding roof rack. I ensured that the RH component is fully extended outward, and the LH does not seem to be adjustable, but there is still roughly 6" of groove on the sidebars left unused. Is this normal? Or should the front crossbar be able to be installed full forward?
