Acura V6, P1705, P1706, P1709 and Diagnosis Tree

This is a link to a video to replace the transmission range switch/neutral safety switch. In the description there are links to a diagnosis tree if you need more help.

Take it to the dealer and pay to get it fixed if they don't fix it under warranty (doubtful because of the spill). Autozone is giving you the trouble code that resulted from the problem and is stored in the control module (the cars "computer"). The problem with these generic codes is that in many cases they don't really pinpoint the problem. The dealers have tech machines that read subcodes that are much more definitive and help them find the cause much quicker. In your case, it may be that a connector needs to be dried or you could have damaged an electrical component. It will be much quicker and perhaps less expensive if you let the dealer pinpoint the problem than if you start replacing components based on the autozone code reader.

Gotta love the dealer tech trap.
