2013 Rear Brake Pads

General question on the rear brake pad replacement. I noticed that the rear brake pads have a 3 prong clip in the center of the back brake pad on the rear. It seems like this clip sears inside the caliper. Not sure if you install the pad on the caliper first? Just want to make sure it gets installed correctly.

Yes, the 3 prong clip goes inside the piston first. You can let the outside pad sit on the caliper mount, then slide the caliper and the inside pad into the caliper mount. Also check to make sure the pad spring did not slip out of place.

The system has a lot of metal to metals contacts, so I put grease on the 3 prong clip, sides of the pads touching the pad spring, and the pad ears.

hope this helps.

Replacing my rear pads on 2015 RDX. With the flange bolts removed, the caliper body is stuck in place by the pad spring. How do I release the pad spring to lift the caliper body and replace the pads? Thanks!

I was going to refer you to an old thread because I recalled someone asking the same question on June 3. After searching for, and locating the thread LINK, i realized it was you who asked the question on June 3.

What additional infirmation do you need?,
