I have a Droid Razr paired with my 2013 RDX. All is working fine except for the text messages. When I click on the text message box in the car, I get a notification message that "text messaging is not available when the HFL is busy. Please try again later".

I called the 888 tech line which had me pair another phone (iPhone 5) and I got the same message. At this point, he referred me to the dealer. I called the dealer and they've never experienced this issue.

Anybody out there experience this?

I'm not sure about the Razr, but on the iPhone, got to Settings>Bluetooth>HandsFreeLink and change Show Notifications to "On." I'm guessing there's a similar setting on the Razr.

Thanks! Hopefully that gets text functionality up on the iphone 5 for me.

We just purchased 2013 RDX and we have same issue with text message box on the Phone screen and get same message as Dutchml. We did set notifications to "on" in the iPhone 5 and while that permitted new texts received to come up and actually be read on the RDX Navi screen, we could not text a reply which is supposed to be available (although only a few short, pre-programmed messages). Don't know if there is another means of getting those reply texts to be available. Frustrating that Acura does not have easier setup. You would think they might have a website with more detailed instructions instead of us having to go back to dealer for assistance - and that's assuming someone there will actually know.
