Personnel jpeg for nav screen

Has anyone tried downloading a photo jpeg to the nav screen. I read somewhere that it is a feature on the tech.

I haven't done it yet, but I have seen it in the setup menus. I was joking with my son about creating a custom one for my wife that refers to her driving skills that will come up when she starts the car.

The only problem with that is that it may be the last time you ever see her start the RDX again.....She'll leave with the RDX and never come back

I have done it. You have to save the image in the root Directory and the resolution has to be 1680x936 or smaller. Using iPhoto on a Mac I had to first adjust the image to the proper aspect ratio and then export it to a 1680X936 pixel resolution. 1680x936 in not a standard aspect ratio like 16X9 but it is close. You have to adjust the image to the proper aspect ratio in order for it to fill the screen completely without distortion.

You talking about the wallpaper? #6 in setup.. very simple.

Saved an image in the root of my usb, then in set wallpaper setting, you can select an image available on the HDD or import from USB. Import it and then select it.

I got my pictures loaded, but the wall paper ONLY comes on when I start the car, let the map stay on there for a few minutes and don't touch any buttons. If I do ANYTHING during a trip (use the map, make a call, use the radio) then the wall paper won't come up al all...am I doing something wrong? Can I change the default to be the wallpaper rather than the map?

Unfortunately, that's how it works. I frequently let my wallpaper load until I need the nag. system or have to change the radio. It's a nice "break."
