Halogen Low Beam Bulb - Removing Rear Cover?
Anyone have any tips on removing the white cover on the back of the halogen low beam bulb on a 2013 RDX? The manual states the following:
Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Are these things impossible to remove, or am I doing something wrong here.
- Push the tab to remove the coupler.
- Rotate the cover to the left to remove.
Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Are these things impossible to remove, or am I doing something wrong here.

Almost a year later and no one has any ideas on this one? I'm having the same problem trying to remove the cover. It's like they were glued on from the factory. What do we do, take it to the dealer, do they know a secret ?

From the times that I have changed the bulbs, the rear covers are a HUGE PITA to get off. There is a large o-ring that seals the bulb compartment, and it is completely dry and also oversized for the opening, so there is a lot of friction and pressure you have to overcome to get it to rotate. I used a large screwdriver and pressed on the tab to get it to start turning the first time, and it wasn't as hard after that. The most recent time that I took them off, I used some silicone lubricant I had (gel not spray) and put it on the o-ring and it made putting them back in much easier.

Have removed the covers on mine. The passengers side came off intact. I used a piece of wood, about 2 foot 3/8s dowel pin and lightly tapped it on one of the fins, until it moved then stressed the hell out of my hand to finish. The drivers side, I broke two fins off , but got the cover . Used the Sylvania Xtrvision 11 bulbs. Much better than the OEM and along with that I also raised the bulb height so as to see further down the road. Much better with the new bulbs and better yet with the height raised. The 0 ring mentioned above, it's huge. I removed it and gave a good spray of silicone all over it. Next time they will be much easier.
