Galaxy SIII not working with text messaging?

Bought a 2013 RDX tech last week. Anyone had this problem? When texts come in there is no alert on the navi. If after a text comes in I go to the "text messages" section (where presumably one would see previous texts) of the navi it pops up an error like "Cannot perform this task while HFL is in use." If I turn off the car then turn it back on and I go to the "text messages" section, the error is gone and the list of messages is blank.

Anyone had this issue?

I have a 2013 RDX Tech and a Galaxy S3 phone as well. This phone does not support the SMS/Text Messaging feature, per the Acura website. You would think that a phone as popular as Samsung would have this.

http://www.acura.com/HandsFreeLink.aspx

Go to "find a phone". Select your car, trim level, cellular carrier, and phone. When the phone comes up on the screen, click the phone and a list of features it supports will appear.

Ah hell. Thanks. I looked at this before but hadn't "clicked the phone."

Hey carn1fex, I just did a software update on my Verizon Galaxy S3, and one of the new features is support for SMS/Text Messaging. After the update, I had someone text me, and sure enough, a message came up on the screen that said I have to be stopped (or in Park) to read the text message. I could still respond with one of the pre-installed text responses while moving. When I stopped, the message was actually read to me through the speakers.
