Hi I own a 2013 RDX base model (no nav). I’ve been trying to find a way to get CarPlay on my RDX. I emailed NavTool but their customer service told me I need nav for NavTool to work. Then I turned to the aftermarket option such as Pioneer, Kenwood or Alpine, but I’m not sure if these systems would fit my car. Has anyone try these products on their 2nd Gen RDX base model? Which one should I purchase?

Also if you know other option to get CarPlay for the base model, please let me know!

 

One of the best resources I found for aftermarket radios is Crutchfield. There website includes all the major brands so you can sort by the features you want but it also will tell you what units will fit your car and what you need to make it function. I just found a video from DashConnectPlus where CarPlay (or phone mirroring) can be installed to the 2013 RDX base model. But don’t know where to purchase their product. Does anyone know where I can get this?

 

I just did a Google search and got several "dongles" that claim to connect to your car stereo and add CarPlay and Android Auto. Based on the reviews, do your research and buy carefully.
