album art / cover art
Hi,
When I connect my iPod to the USB port, I can view the artwork for each album cover. Is using an iPod the only way to see cover art? I was expecting to see it for CDs and maybe even for the HDD or for a flash drive. Is viewing cover art somehow linked to software on the iPod? I thought cover art was available through GraceNote, which should be independent of whether an iPod or a CD or whatever is used, right? Or is GraceNote only used for song titles and so on, whereas album art is perhaps obtained from meta data on the iPod?
By the way, it seems kind of odd that the text from the song title is written right on top of the album art. I would have expected it to be truncated at the edge of the artwork.
