AcuraLink vs SiriusXM
So I just traded in my 2013 RDX for a 2016.
On the 2013 I subscribed to the "XM All Access Plan" which includes all XM/Sirius channels and also subscribed to NavTraffic and NavWeather.
It's time for me to transfer the XM to my new 2016.
However, I am confused as some of the XM Stuff appears to be included under AcuraLink? Obviously the radio part is pretty self explanatory, but it doesn't seem like I need to subscribe to NavTraffic and NavWeather through XM as it is included in AcuraLink?
Correction: Surprisingly, it looks like NavWeather is no longer on the RDX:-(
Still, the question stands on NavTraffic.
Thanks for your help!

You're correct. As far as I can tell, weather isn't available on the RDX from any source I can determine. I don't know why XM doesn't continue to offer it. As far as traffic goes, AcuraLink is an okay function. We don't have a lot of traffic issues around here, so it's hard to tell.

Thanks for responding jcross. After digesting my new car, I think I've figured it out and it seems obvious (not excluding NavWeather though).
It seems to me that I need to just pay for regular RADIO Sirius/XM and forego the NavTraffic. NavTraffic seems to be covered under the AcuraLink Package.
I'm sure it'll be a savings for me in the end...although, I would have liked to see some weather package. I realize I have a smartphone...but nice to have it on the big screen...especially if you could zoom in more.

Yes, that's what you need. I have just the basic XM, which I'm on the fence about eliminating. They've started doing way too much talking between tracks in the past year or so.
