Why is the 2014 RDX AWD with tech package going for so low right now?
I've been weighing my options and was eyeing the rdx with tech package. Today, I went on truecar.com to browse and found three dealers willing to sell me a 2014 rdx awd with tech package for $36,750. This is below invoice and far below what I was expecting for the fwd with tech package. Not to mention it's relatively new and popular. It makes me antsy and wonder if there's something wrong or maybe I should jump on it ASAP because it's such a good deal.
What's the deal with the pricing??

My experience with trucar pricing in Florida has been that the dealer will add a dealer fee of $500 or more to the Trucar price when you actually do the paperwork. Trucar does not include such fees in their pricing and does not prohibit them. From their website
"The TrueCar Price Estimate shown on the Certificate includes the destination fee and the regional advertising fee. The TrueCar Price Estimate does not include dealer installed accessories, applicable tax, title, licensing, and documentation fees, other state and governmental charges and/or fees, dealer-locate fees for out-of-stock vehicles, and any other charges and/or fees allowed by law."

No, I'm saying that's more than the price we paid, not including tax, etc. The comments were that the TrueCar price does not include tax, etc. so that's what I was comparing it to. However, I now see that he was talking about an AWD model...ours is FWD so that probably explains it. It still doesn't sound all THAT low.

In Texas I paid $35K Plus TT&L. Personally the RDX is a $35K car and not anymore. There are some things that are lacking or could be improved to demand a higher price point. However, it is still a Honda product and I am very satisfied with the product overall.
I think that they will offer some new options for 2015 to get in that higher price point but they cant impede on the MDX territory or risk losing sales.

Add destination charge of $895 and account for how high your dealer fees are in conjunction with said pricing, and what is the real number?
You cannot purchase an RDX AWD Tech for below $37000 without destination and a large document fee being added later.
There is no cash on the RDX, and it continues this way. It's a great seller, and doesn't need extra funny money to sell.
