There is a lock for the glovebox, under the push button to open it. There is also keyed lock for the doors. The OEM key fob has a key you press a button to remove.
The key in the keyless fob works in the door locks and the glovebox. I am starting to think the previous owner just grabbed everything they had that said Acura on it and put it in car.....
So what you meant to say is it does not fit the door or glovebox. Looking at the key again, I can say that that type of key was not used by Honda/Acura after about 2003.
The current keys are the wafer style.
