That's up to you to decide. The dealer will detail the exterior and interior upon delivery though. I know some people tell the dealer not to touch it and do it themselves (some dealers suck at this and do more harm than good) and others who will do an extra detail when it comes home.
Beyond the detail thought, my number one suggestion is to install a clear bra. I bought my current 2012 sorento used and the hood and front bumper are horribly chipped. It needs to be resprayed. All my previos cars had 3M clear film and it had made a world of difference.

With a brand new vehicle, you can wax it as soon as you get it. With a repainted vehicle, it may vary depending the type of paint used, curing methods, etc...
Dealers even try to get you to buy their paint protection sealant when you buy the vehicle.

Right!! Like I can't understand how someone can spend 45k or 30k even or whatever on a brand new car and then stop at the extra few hundred to protect your car for thousands of miles. My Sorento was 48K new, why the heck the previous owner never thought to pay for the clear bra is beyond me. Any car I owned with clear bra looked immaculate compared to those without. When I buy a brand new car in the future, my number one think will be to clear bra the whole hood, whole front bumper, whole fenders, and whole rear bumper.
