Traffic view is gone!
Hello,
Starting last Thursday, the traffic indication lines on my navi map has gone away.
Just FYI,
- the navi is paid for till next November
- I am zoomed in to 1/2 mile "view"
- I checked the setup and XM, Weather and Traffic shows as receiving.
Any ideas?

Interestingly I just started having this same issue. I don't drive during the week so I can't say definitively when it started, but when I drove on Saturday I was suddenly not getting traffic on my nav. I'm still in the 90 day trial, but I checked on the SiriusXM website, and it does say I should still be getting traffic.
I wonder if there was some kind of outage.

Confirmed Issue from SiriusXM
I have been able to confirm an issue that effects the Acura line (possibly the RDX specifically). After a channel lineup change on May 9th, SiriusXM has received issues regarding NavTraffic and Weather on certain makes/models.
I contacted Acura Client relations to confirm. After a three way call, Acura and SiriusXm confirmed this as a known issue as a result of the May 9th change.
Again, the scope (what cars and models) isnt clear or concrete but the 2013 RDX is certainly impacted.

So far, I am underwhelmed with my trial of SiriusXM...

Cool, thanks for the info.
Agreed, I definitely can't see paying $15/month for the radio and I probably also can't see paying $8/month for the traffic and weather. The traffic seems especially useless since it's pretty much only for the highways. Here in Chicago I can tell you what color the traffic is going to be on the highway based on the day and time.

^ So happy to hear (read) your post dc5. Not that you are having the same issue but sort of confirmation that it isn't my beloved RDX.
Any of you know if Acura is using Sirius for the next Gen Acura link traffic as well?

Just received a follow-up call from Acura, which was nice. The rep called to confirm that he had seen my earlier call and wanted to call to confirm that indeed there is a problem that Acura engineers are working with SiriusXM but that the solution will be delivered by SiriusXM, not Acura. He will call me on Friday to see if there is an update on the status.

None of my last few new Acura deliveries to clients have had functioning traffic, but weather remained fine. Posts above about Acura/XM working on it should be correct.

Would you know if AcuraLink Part II is software/Firmware based?
In other words, is there a chance that us current 2013 RDX users may be able to get upgraded to this new system? (or at least the 3D nav view like the RLX has).
Thanks

I dropped my RDX at the dealer yesterday for various reasons, one of them being the NavTraffic stopped working last Thursday. Yesterday they told me they got the traffic working, but a few minutes ago I got a call that the traffic stopped working again. They are still trying to figure it out.

Having the same issues with my 2013 RDX. Four phone calls later, three of them over 45 mins, they said that they hope to have it fixed within 48 hours. It is the strangest thing, one minute the traffic works, the next it doesn't. The weather is only giving me city and current conditions - no temp, forecast, or 3 day forecast. They offered me a $10 credit for my trouble, whoopee!

I was informed from XM the problem would be resolved within 24 to 48 hours as of 15 minutes ago. XM stated they had changed their channel lineup for data. Ask for a 3 month extension on your service.

I'm so glad to know this isn't just my car! I noticed my traffic went out last Thursday. I called Acura and Sirius. After failed attempts at refreshing, they said they were undergoing a system update, and it would be ok in 48 hours. When it was still not working on Monday, I contacted the dealer again, and they contacted sirius and said it was a known issue that should be resolved in another 48 hours. But today, still nothing. At least I know it's not just me!

UPDATE TO MY UPDATE: My dealer just found out that the problem stems from SiriusXM. So they are going to wait and see if the traffic comes back on its own.

Yes. Several, several times. Even though it hasn't worked and I know it won't work, I still keep trying it everyday. I actually discovered that there is a maximum number of times you can request a refresh each day. Sad, I know...

My traffic view has not worked for almost a week, I decided to just call and cancel my XM subscription. Man those XM sales reps are so pushy and want you to stay on board, always want to offer you something else after you say NO!
Going to try out Pandora for awhile and just use my iPhone for traffic view. I will miss channel 42 on XM (The Joint). Thats such a chill station to listen to

My traffic/weather's been out about a week. Like some posters have already mentioned, this is a SXM issue, not Acura. In fact, I called the dealership this morning, and they told me SXM actually sent them a memo yesterday about these issues.
Make certain to call the SXM advanced support (855-260-5969), voice your concern, and clamor for service credits. The gentlemen I spoke to said they hope to have a fix by next Tuesday, but we'll see...
As of this morning, my rdx tech still has neither traffic/weather.

returned call
Acura Client Relations did call today, as they promised. Situation remains the same, the solution will be pushed from SXM. He indicated that SXM has indicated they originally thought the issue only impacted year 2009 and up Acura's, but it appears to be even broader. He said he will follow up again next Friday with any new information.
From my perspective, Acura is handling this as best they can. SXM on the other hand has been negligent and careless.
